The Christian Community Mutual Fund, CCMF, is the first mutual fund setup under the sponsorship of the Christian Council of Ghana (CCG). The CCG is an umbrella organisation for mostly Protestant and Charismatic churches in Ghana. Founded in 1929, the CCG is a unifying body representing the Methodist, Anglican, Mennonite, Presbyterian, Evangelical Presbyterian, African Methodist Episcopal Zionist, Christian Methodist, Evangelical Lutheran, F’Eden, and Baptist churches, and the Society of Friends. The Council serves as the link with the World Council of Churches and other ecumenical bodies.
Under the professional management of BSA, the CCG aspires to use the CCMF to financially empower Ghana’s Christians and other denominations by providing a high-yielding medium to long-term investment vehicle. The CCG, sponsors of the CCMF seek to:
- Help Christians attain financial empowerment through a diversified long-term savings vehicle.
- Provide each unit holder access to professional fund management services and exposure to alternative investment opportunities in areas such as real estate and private equity.
- Deepen financial intermediation in Ghana by adding an additional high growth investment product and promote a culture of financial planning and savings.
